This portrait session was particularly unique because Celia and Ross decided to do a special before-the-wedding portrait session as a preface to the big day. Even though the idea is unconventional, I think it worked brilliantly! Sometimes portraits can feel rushed on the day of the wedding. You have to worry about being announced at your reception; cutting the cake; tossing the bouquet. Doing a set of portraits on a separate day left Celia and Ross completely relaxed and we were able to have a lot of fun. Because there was no other schedule to work around, we were able to plan around the best lighting (sunset – obviously!) and chose several locations for variety in the photos. Celia and Ross were such a joy to work with for this special session. We started it off with a first look moment so Ross could have that memorable moment of seeing his future wife in her wedding dress for the first time. After that, we traveled between Lincoln Park, River North and Montrose Harbor during a gorgeous summer evening. Celia looked absolutely gorgeous in her BHLDN gown. The sheer fabric and sequins looked magical in the sunlight. I was pretty much in love (and I might have to pick up one for myself… you know, just to wear while lounging around the house!) Thank you Celia and Ross for a wonderful evening! I hope married life is treating you both very well.
