My photography love story began with Legos and a LOT of imagination. While my first camera was merely a handmade toy, I quickly upgraded to the real deal for my elementary school’s after-hours photography club. My nerdy obsession and inventory of cameras continued to grow all the way through college. Despite the obvious passion, I decided against studying photography in college. Instead, I received a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Art and Music from Augustana College, in Rock Island, Illinois. I never would have, in a million years, anticipated having the guts to pursue a career as a professional photographer; but here I am today, happy and just as in love with photography as ever!
Photographing weddings is truly a passion of mine. On a wedding day, there’s so much happiness, anticipation, and excitement in the air. I can’t get enough! I love photographing people in LOVE. Plain and simple. From couples, to families, to newlyweds, I’m inspired by warm hearts, laughter, and smiles, and by the stories and moments that bring people together. As a photographer, my mission is to capture these stories in an honest way, creating everlasting images that will help you relive the emotions, beauty and love.
Other things I’m infatuated with (in no particular order): sunrises, sandy beaches, cowboy boots, the color blue, Beethoven, fish & chips, mason jars, my French Horn, barbecue sauce, honey lemon tea, Anthropologie, gelato, the city of Chicago, mountains, dresses and cardigans, Steve Madden, and tufted chairs.
